The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is offering
qualified families assistance with funeral expenses incurred due
to the death of a loved from COVID-19.

FEMA’s mission is to help people before, during and after disasters. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused immense grief for so many people. Although FEMA cannot change what has happened, they affirm their commitment to help with funeral, burial and cremation expenses that many families, like yours, did not anticipate.

Families may be eligible for up to $9,000 in FEMA’s COVID-19 Funeral Assistance for expenses incurred for funeral services and interment or cremation of a loved one who died as the result of the COVID-19 infection.

It May be Time to Honor or Memorialize a Loved One Lost During COVID

As our community becomes safer, you and your family wish to plan a memorial service in your loved one’s honor that includes others within your circle of family and friends – something that many families find to be a meaningful experience. Those expenses may also be eligible for reimbursement.*
